Many people wonder about their standing with God. Some feel that they have committed the unpardonable sin and that they are eternally lost. Others feel that since they have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior, they are now assured of a place in heaven.

Others are uncertain whether they will make it to heaven or not. Some feel that they are destined for hell. How can you know whether heaven or hell is your destiny?

Isn’t it interesting though that when a person dies, no matter how rotten a life the person led, the close relatives know that he/she is now in heaven, with God. What is the truth about life after death. You will learn what the word of God says about this matter. Stay tuned.

Then there are those who think there is no God, while some believe there may be a God, but they are not sure. There are many who go to church each week, but their lives do not reflect any relationship with God. They possess no Christian vitality.

There are millions who are obssessed with the idea that in this world you only go around once, so you might as well get all you can. They make materialism the object of their lives. They envy the rich and famous and have a strong desire to obtain that same lifestyle. That is where it’s at, they feel.

But, listen to one who has made it–big! Here is a quote made by Jim Carrey, you need to understand. It was found in the March 2006 issue of Reader’s Digest, pg. 81, in “Quotable Quotes”.

“I think everybody should get rich and famous and do everything they ever dreamed of so they can see that it’s not the answer.”

There you have it straight from one who has experienced the so-called American dream. He tells you it’s not the answer.

He’s absolutely right. Christ is the answer! You need Christ and His direction for your life to find true happiness, peace of mind, and a reality check about your future life.

There are those who play church. They have been misled.

Tragically, many are taught that going to church weekly fulfills their obligations to God for the week.

Millions go to church regularly because it is expected of them. So they go as a matter of duty. They wouldn’t want the neighbors to know that theirs is just a show of religiosity.

In reality, however, they do not find their religious experience in any way rewarding as it ought to be. They sense a spiritual void in their very souls.

What are your personal feelings? Does it matter at all how you, or I feel? How you are viewed in God’s eyes is what really counts isn’t it? Wouldn’t you like to know where you stand with God?

I strongly urge you to have a Bible at hand to compare what you read in this magazine, for two vital reasons.

First, I will be paraphrasing many texts to make them easier for you. I use the King James Version and it can be a bit difficult to understand in places for the novice. I want you to check my Biblical references in your Bible.

Secondly, you should never take anyone else’s word for what the Bible says. Millions are being deceived and are totally oblivious to the fact.

If you allow yourself to be deceived it could have serious eternal consequences. How can this be? You are going to learn the facts in the following pages. Do not be misled by a false gospel.

There is an old saying that “all roads lead to Rome,” which some erroneously have extrapolated to mean that all churches lead to heaven. You will learn that while this sounds good, it is not true.

Again, I urge you to check your own Bible and be certain that what you learn is the truth, as God ordained it, for your sake.

The apostle Paul warned in various places, “do not be deceived.” See, 1 Cor. 6:9; 15:33; Gal. 6:7. Think you could not be deceived?

Jesus gave a warning against deception in Luke 21:8; and He issued a strong caveat for your admonition, found in Matt. 24:24.

Take warning, for false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and great wonders and will deceive, if possible, even the very elect. (paraphrased)

You will learn of these dangerous deceptions that are rampant, especially today.

Note that when the word “prophet” is used in the Bible, it not only signifies one who foretells the future, but the word prophet is also used to describe one who expounds on the Scriptures. Prophet also refers to one who interprets prophecies.

So Jesus is saying that prophets, or preachers, will come and so captivate the unwary that unless you are well grounded in His word, you will be deceived.

Even those who love Jesus with all their hearts and energetically serve Him, could be deceived. You don’t think so? Why then did Jesus say,

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”

It is evident that this refers to the judgment. Here are some who are in for a shock. They felt that they were faithfully doing good for the Lord, and would have a high place in heaven, but Jesus says to them,

“I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

How can this be? Here are those who have given their lives to serve others for the Lord’s sake and they find out in the judgment that they are not saved, but condemned. Read Matt. 7:21-23. The key is in the 21st. verse, where Jesus said, “but he that doeth the will of my Father…”

Think about this seriously. Is it possible that you are a regular church-goer, work to help others as Jesus wants you to do, and yet be lost? Why? Perhaps you have not been hearing the entire gospel message. Keep an open mind and learn from God, what He wants.

I feel certain that virtually all Christians agree that the apostle Paul was arguably the greatest evangelist that ever walked the face of the earth. Read Acts 17.11 to see how the Bereans reacted to his preaching in their country.

The lesson for all is; do not take anyone’s word for what the Bible says—not anyone’s!

It is my sincere hope that you will find the source of truth and comfort in the pages of this publication. That you will find your personal assurance of life eternal, and lasting peace with God, is my heartfelt prayer for you.
