Why this Magazine?

I might begin by asking a question that is troubling many people these days. They are deeply bothered and the question agitating in their minds is:

What in the world is going on?

People recognize that never before in the history of the world have we seen so much consternation. Something fearful seems to be coming down. Conditions on the earth cannot continue as they are without some major event taking place soon. What can it be?

In spite of the exponential advancement in technology, in educa- tion, in industry, in commerce, in medicine, et al, the order of things seem to be in chaos. One would expect that the promise of a better future should be forthcoming, but instead, the upheaval in the world is frightening to many.

There have always been wars going on somewhere in the world. There have always been diseases. There has always been poor people and hunger. There has always been the rich hoarding instead of sharing. There has always been flooding, droughts and crop failures.

Recorded history also shows that immorality has always been rampant on the earth.

We are surely seeing an increase in hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires, fatal mudslides, and on and on.

What in the world is going on? Are we witnessing the wrath of God being poured out on the world? If so, what can we do? What can we do to appease Him and have Him give us lasting peace and prosperity?

Or, are we near the end of the world, which according to Bible prophecy is imminent?

This magazine will bring you answers that perhaps you have never heard before. These answers will come from the Bible, which is the Word of God. You will no longer be kept in the dark about the future.

How can a person know that the Bible is truth, that it is the explicit testimony of God?

Faith, of course, is prerequisite. Historians and archaeologists have validated Bible history. This subject is much too large an issue to cite all the established facts.

There is still room for doubt and misconceptions, but hang on and you will be thrilled at the accuracy of the written word.

Some peoples and incidents inscribed in the Bible had not been proven for centuries. This gave skeptics ammunition for their destructive weapons of doubt. However, later diggings have brought to light proof that nations, persons and incidents, such as wars, recorded in the Bible, heretofore taken only on faith, have indeed been proven to be true. You can trust the Bible implicitly.

The Rosetta stone was an invaluable find in the mid-nineteenth century. It contained the key that unlocked the ability to interpret heretofore undecipherable ancient writings. Then parchments found by accident in the year 1947 are notabale artifacts that validated Scriptural documents.

It is an established fact that Jesus Christ did indeed live as recorded in the Bible.

The apostles who wrote the New Testament books tell of their personal experiences with Jesus. A number of skeptics, such a C. S. Lewis who set out to disprove the existence of Christ, became ardent believers and followers of the Savior after their singular crusades.

Millions of lives have been changed from coming in contact with the Lord, Jesus Christ through reading the Bible. My own life is an example with which I am familiar, of course. Praise the Lord!

As a late man of God* used to say when his radio broadcasts came to a close;

“Have faith in God, dear friend, have faith in God.”
